#WW Pretty Boy (playing with camera settings)

I was playing with my camera settings and seeing which animals would pose. Unsurprisingly, the only one that holds still for photos is the macaw. One dog bounces away, one turns away. The cats hide, the turtles think you're feeding them. So, meet Max, aka Maxwell Smart.  He'll take time out from chowing down to watch you take pictures of him.

My camera has a setting on it that filters out all but one color. The blue selector picked the under wing color.

The yellow was better.

Wordless Wednesday #WW Proof positive

My daughter wanted short ribs for her birthday dinner.  So my husband cooked them on the grill.  While we were eating, my macaw decided he needed one too.  Which he proceeded to pick at for the next 30 minutes before tossing it to the dogs.   Proof positive he's a carnivorous bird.

Three for Thursday (Max the Macaw)

When I went to take photos of my Christmas Cactus (and turtles), Max decided he needed to be photographed too. He raised a ruckus until I came in and took a few photos. Then he retreated to the top of his cage satisfied.
