#RinglingAtl @GwinnettCenter Built to Amaze! does!

My family and I were invited to attend the newest show by Ringling Bros. "Built to Amaze".  We actually made it to the preshow as well as to the regular show. Something we didn't get to do last time.  My daughter and I played in the wardrobe some, I wandered and met some of the clowns.  I also got a video of one of the clowns "playing".

It really gave us a taste of what was to come during the show.  The show we noted had more "show" to it than before.  It wasn't bad, it was just "more".  More dancers, more singing, etc.  I have to say I was impressed by the Ring Master as well as by the two that worked most with him. (Alex & Irina).  My daughter and I noted that Irina never seemed to stop moving!

I had problems watching the foot walker go across the ceiling.  My daughter couldn't watch the Wheel of Steel.  Lots of fun, there though, watching the tumblers and the trampoline acts.  My camera (on my phone) really had problems focusing on the action, so I only caught the above video to give you a good sample of what went on. You can see some great photos, though, over on the Ringling Brothers facebook page.

The little girls sitting behind me were totally enthralled with the show. Their ear piercing screams cut through even the loudness of the show itself. I was caught off guard initially, but was ok once I knew to expect it. If you listen closely to this video of Elliana Grace being launched from the cannon, you can hear them in the background.

I can say my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. My son (teen boy) was actually impressed enough that he's contemplating writing a review of it for the blog he writes for. That, by itself, shows that even teens can have fun at the circus.

Big Apple Circus

I won tickets to go see the opening night of the Big Apple Circus. Unfortunately, most of my pictures were either dark or blurred, though I did get lucky on a few.

The nice lady in the row ahead of us heard me fussing at my daughter for not cooperating with pictures. So she snapped this one for us before the show started. My daughter was not amused.

The start of the show was this, or at least the "scene" that was set as you were seated.

Our host and ringmaster

The rest are fairly self explanatory.

All in all a very enjoyable show. It was NOT warm in the tent, though it wasn't as cold inside as it was outside. I got a little miffed during the show when I was told I couldn't take pictures. They made an announcement at the start that there was no FLASH photography for the safety of the performers, and no videography at all. Not sure what the gentleman (employee of the circus) thought I was doing, but I wasn't using flash nor video. Other than that, I think we had a good time.

Review - Ringling Bros. Circus #RBBBATL

I was invited to go as part of social media night to see the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. I took my family along with me for fun. I have to admit, it's been a very long time since I've been to this circus. My kids had never been.

The stage looks much more impressive once the show starts, but it was neat being able to see it up close before hand. We got there ahead of time and were able to see a talk with the animal trainers and care takers. They brought out a couple of the horses to see and touch. They even gave us clown noses to wear. Hubby and I were the only ones to actually try them in my family, but it was cute seeing all the littles wear their's.

The show itself was impressive. I enjoyed watching all of the acrobats. These guys gave me grey hairs watching.

All in all, I'd say it was a very nice show. I had a blast and so did my kids.
