Monday Munchies - new @SnackFever box #daebak #KoreanSnacks #trysomethingnew #affiliate
I can't say much about most of it yet, I've only tried a couple of the items. The jelly drink was melon flavored and did well as a snack while at school. There are rice cakes in there that I've tried one and it was good. The rest is awaiting sampling.

Snackfever box #SnackFever #Daebak #SnackFeverFam #affiliate
We received February's box yesterday. My daughter and I immediately dug in to see what we could find.
This was just cool. They're basil seeds. You plant it up to the indicated line and let it grow.
My daughter and I have already cleared out the Cacao Nibs cookies (yum!), the Wasa Beef (wasabi! top right picture), the watermelon gummies (middle left), and the little candy straws (middle left). The lemon honey almonds (middle left) won't have long to stay. I also tried the grape jam cracker (top left). This box won't last long in this house. Not pictured was a small poltice pack (to be filled with cold or warm water) and a pink bracelet. Those wandered off somewhere and I forgot to put them in. If you're interested in trying it out, it does come with a booklet that tells you about the snacks you are trying, so it's not totally blind tasting. Check out my affiliate link to the right.

December Snack Fever box #SnackFever #daebak #SnackFeverFam #ad
I received my December Snack Fever box and thought I'd share the goodies inside it. I'll admit up front that I'm an affiliate. My daughter and I are the primary consumers of the snacks, though my son sometimes takes a snack as well. When this one came in, my daughter immediately ran away with the honey butter chips. It did come with a small booklet that describes the snacks in the box, so you know what you're getting in the box. It's always a variety and my boxes are always packed as full as they can be. I had help checking out my goodies this time around. Fortunately, he decided the box was more interesting.
If you have any questions about what's there, feel free to ask. Once I've tried them, I'll happily tell you if I (or my daughter) enjoyed them (we usually do).

Wednesday's Words #vocabulary #learning #Korean #한국 #어휘
Not a wordless Wednesday, but the word of the day is 한국. I've finished 2 level 1 books and am working through the TTMIK workbook to review. Then I'll start the level 2 book shown below. The Penguin books are in Korean but have the English available. So that's for practice. The other is simple vocabulary for daily stuff. I'm no good at straight memorization, so it's all repetition for me.
If you follow me on instagram, don't be surprised if you see my posts with both Korean and German translations. The only way I'm going to improve my vocabulary is to practice using my vocabulary. So, for my multi-lingual friends, feel free to correct my usage.

Monday's Munchies with @SnackFever #subscription #KoreanSnacks #affiliate
This is my second box with Snack Fever. I don't know about you, but I like trying new foods. It's very convenient to have someone else send me things to try rather than go hunt them down myself.
So far, I've enjoyed all of the things they've sent me. Now if only it lasted longer...

Korean Barbecue at Honey Pig @HoneyPigUSA
Last week was my daughter's birthday. As a tradition in our family, the birthday person gets to choose a restaurant (or type of restaurant) to go out to celebrate. Rarely are we "on time" to do dinner, but that's ok. My daughter's choice this year was to go out for Korean. We could have just driven down Buford Highway and found a spot, but I decided to try to do some research first. My research brought me to Honey Pig.
The meat cooks on your table, sort of hibachi style.
We chose to get their combination platter. That includes a selection of 5 meats, 4 cuts of beef and 1 of chicken. You also get sprouts, mushrooms and kimchi. This was the first cut of meat cooking with the sprouts, mushrooms and kimchi.
This was the prime rib.
I stopped taking pictures at this point to concentrate on eating. It was a LOT of food. The menu suggests a minimum of 3 people for the combination platter. It fed the 5 of us with a little left over that we took home. The servers were very attentive, helping us with the meat. Each meat was put on the cook top separately, with the chicken being cooked last. It wasn't cheap, but it was VERY GOOD. I fed the 5 of us for around $150 (not including tip).
