Lights, Camera, Action! The World of Coca-Cola Kicks Off Summer Celebration with a New Short Film and More
The Atlanta Attraction Debuts New “Moments of
Happiness” Film, Mobile App, Howard Finster Exhibit and Seventh
Anniversary Ticket Offer
ATLANTA, May 15, 2014 – As Memorial Day
weekend approaches, the World of Coca-Cola has no shortage of ways to
enjoy the holiday. To kick off summer and in celebration of its seventh
anniversary, the Atlanta attraction is introducing
a new short film, “Moments of Happiness.” The World of Coca-Cola also
is celebrating with:
- A new app that allows iPhone users to experience the World of Coca-Cola in fun and surprising ways.
- Howard Finster: Visions of Coca-Cola, a new gallery highlighting the works of American folk artist Howard Finster.
- Discounted admission in honor of the seventh anniversary of the World of Coca-Cola at Pemberton Place on May 24.
“Moments of Happiness” Short Film
Happiness is all around us and it happens every
day. That’s the spirit of the new film in the Coca-Cola Theater. The
six-minute film celebrates some of life’s most memorable moments
experienced by people of different ages and cultures around
the world.
“We refer to the World of Coca-Cola as the Home of
Happiness, so it makes a lot of sense that we feature a film that
reflects that,” said General Manager of Retail and Attractions for The
Coca-Cola Company, Russell Jacobs. “The film follows
people going through milestone life experiences like skydiving for the
first time, along with moments like surprising a loved one on a special
occasion. That’s what the World of Coca-Cola is really all about – those
shared moments of happiness, large and small.”
“Moments of Happiness” is only available for
viewing at the World of Coca-Cola, but those interested in catching a
glimpse of the film can check out the trailer at

long after their visit.
Howard Finster: Visions of Coca-Cola Gallery
Opening May 23, the World of Coca-Cola’s new
gallery in Pop Culture will feature works from Howard Finster. A
self-taught artist and Baptist minister from Georgia, Finster is
considered one of the most important folk artists of the 20th
century. He loved Coca-Cola and often used the iconic bottle shape in
his artwork.
Howard Finster: Visions of Coca-Cola will include items from The Thomas E. Scanlin Collection, including:
- A 13-foot-tall Coke bottle “big enough for man to stand in” that depicts historical figures in the artist’s unique style
- The 8-foot-tall original folk art bottle, which Finster created for the 1996 Olympic Games and inspired a global art project
- Tools from Finster’s studio that became works of art themselves
