In honor of Veterans day this past week, a good number of our school's teachers were having the kids create cards. Many will be sent to the VA hospital, the rest will be sent overseas. It was very touching to hear the teachers talk about what the kids were putting on the cards. It was also very heart lifting to walk through the halls in the morning and hear the kids sing Lee Greenwood's song "God Bless the USA". The kids were all singing very loudly and distinctly when the song came on for morning announcements. It didn't matter whether you were on the 1st grade hall or the 5th grade hall. Very nice to hear.
