ouch

I had a dentist appointment this morning to get a small spot at the gum line fixed on one tooth. It took 5 shots to get my tooth numb. My cheek went numb on the 2nd. My left ear on the 3rd. My jaw (though not the tooth) on the 4th. It took a shot of lidocaine with epinephrine to stick long enough to get the 5 minute procedure done. Ugh. Now my jaw where they did all the shots hurt, my cheek is STILL numb and half of my tongue is numb. I can't tell if I'm chewing cheek or tongue, so I can't eat anything requiring chewing yet. Not that I really want to chew right now with that one VERY sore area. I just took some ibuprofen, so we'll see if that helps. *ouch*

Of course, my stomach does NOT understand all this. All it knows is that I haven't eaten since 7:30 this morning.
