My kids hosted a garden party on friday. It was more an excuse to get together with friends than what most would consider a 'garden' party, but that's ok. We had loads of kids over (some with parents) to visit and play. I got lucky on freecycle and ended up with a ping pong table just in time. It was a good thing to have with the rain that hit right in the middle (actually, just in time to eat).
The kids (with the help of a few friends) did the set-up and most of the (non-dinner) planning.
They also did most of the enjoying of the results.
By the time all was said and done, we had 13 kids goofing off and running around. They had a blast in spite of (or possible enhanced by) the rain.
