Aquarium - Did you know?

OK, so I worked at the aquarium again today. So today's "Did you know" is about the Beluga Whales since I was in the Cold Water Quest gallery.

Beluga whales have a unique feature from other whales, they can bend their necks to look around like a human. They are also called "sea canaries" by fisherman as they are very vocal and can be heard from long distances away. Belugas do NOT have dorsal fins as it would greatly hamper their swimming under the arctic ice. Instead they have a dorsal ridge which they can use to rub/cut small air holes in the ice for breathing through.
