2006 Duck Derby

WHAT:
20,000 yellow rubber ducks will race along the lake at Atlantic Station to raise funds for Special Olympics Georgia.

WHEN:
April 29th 2006, 11:00-3:00

HOW CAN I ADOPT MINE?
Go to our website for information on adoption locations, or to adopt your duck online. www.SpecialOlympicsGA.org

What if my Duck Wins?
First place is a trip for two to St. Lucia. Second place is airline tickets for two. Third place is a $500 Macy's gift card. Prizes awarded for top 5 finishers, and you may even win the $1 Million Dollar Duck, sponsored by United BMW.

The event is free to watch, and open to the public, so adopt your duck and come down to Atlantic Station to see if your duck has won a prize.

A single adoption is $5 - if you adopt a duck you get entered into the race.

Quack Packs are $20 - Quack Packs include a souvenir Jr. Duck and valuable coupons from places like KC Pit BBQ, Krispy Kreme, and Chick-fil-a.

RACE DAY Activities
On the 29th, live music starts at 11:00 am. Enjoy the sounds of The Moonlight Band and the jazz musician Brian Clay and his band Kompani. Cingular will be on hand showcasing their products and services. Enjoy food from KC Pit BBQ and ice cream from Jake's. The Joint will provide free adjustments.

It will be tons of fun! Bring a blanket and enjoy the day!

WHY:
Funds raised from the adoptions of ducks go directly to support the year-round programs of Special Olympics Georgia for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
