I'm doing this now as I know that I won't be able to do it when he actually passes. My dog (Nik the Newfoundland) was diagnosed with a tumor on his spleen a bit over a month ago. He's 11 and his general health won't allow surgery. He's comfortable which is all we can ask for right now. This morning he started to pee blood, so we know he only has a little bit more time with us. I know we'll miss him greatly (my son is already affected by the thought of him being gone).
