I attended the orientation training this morning for volunteers. Thought I'd give you guys some of the trivia that was brought up (all of it is available on the
Georgia Aquarium web site):
- 8 million gallons of water
- 6 million of that is for the whale shark exhibit
- 2 beluga whales will be housed at the aquarium (Niko & Gaspar)
- it's the world's largest aquarium
- the 2nd floor is dedicated to education, school groups will have their own cafeteria and classrooms to use.
- Home to more than 100,000 fish
There was more, but I don't want to get you guys too excited. ;)

They finialy built the aquarium? After talking about it for the t15 years. Makes me wish I was back home.
