I've found a couple of cool "new" shops in the area that I wanted to broadcast. They're really not new, but I went out shopping Saturday for #ShopSmall and these were my favorites. I also wanted to mention a couple of my friends online as they have some neat stuff too.
- Charity Christmas Store - It's just Christmas items that were donated and are being resold for charity. Associated with The Place of Seven Springs, a charity that provides assistance with emergency housing, prescription assistance, utility assistance, gas cards for people with medical conditions and a food bank. I picked up a standing Minnie, 2 ornaments, 1 stocking stuffer, and a wood Santa for just about $8. Love the prices, love the charity. The charity also runs a thrift store in the same shopping center located at 3541 U.S. Highway 78 in Snellville. The Christmas shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
- Unique Treasures Flea Market - Pretty much what it sounds like. It's an antique/flea market with different sellers having different booths. A large variety of stuff to check out, you just have to be fairly savvy about what you're looking for or buying to make sure you're getting the best prices. There's also a food counter off to one side (not always open) that serves pretty good food. I found one of my Christmas gifts here and several ideas for others. 3635 Highway 78 W Snellville GA 30039
- Cheapos Thrift - It's a thrift store with a twist. Located off of McGee Road @ 78 in Snellville. She washes all the clothes that are donated before they're placed on the floor. You can negotiate prices for a lot of the items in stock. If you're patient, you may find what you're looking for. You can also stalk her facebook page as she does occasionally post pictures of items she gets in. Then you can make your run out to see what else there is on hand.
- Ohana Applique - A cute new Etsy store. She sews cute aprons and dress up outfits as well as stuffies, dolls and more.
- Bernetta Style - Not necessarily new, but still on Etsy. A local blogger who also makes soft butter cream for your body.
