VACANT Blog Tour and Scavenger Hunt @AHughesWriter #BookReview

To start with, here's the brief teaser for the book:
Nothing ruins a romantic evening like a brawl with lowlifes—especially when one of them later turns up dead and my date, Detective Isabella Cherabino, is the #1 suspect. My history with the Atlanta PD on both sides of the law makes me an unreliable witness, so while Cherabino is suspended, I’m paying my bills by taking an FBI gig.

I’ve been hired to play telepathic bodyguard for Tommy, the ten-year-old son of a superior court judge in Savannah presiding over the murder trial of a mob-connected mogul. After an attempt on the kid’s life, the Feds believe he’s been targeted by the businessman’s “associates.”

Turns out, Tommy’s a nascent telepath, so I’m trying to help him get a handle on his Ability. But it doesn’t take a mind reader to see that there’s something going on with this kid’s parents that’s stressing him out more than a death threat…

I've read the series and I'm back for more. If you'd like to review what I found in the first of the series, you can check out my blog post here.  I started reading these thanks to the Decatur Book Festival two years ago when I was able to actually  meet the author.  When she asked me to take a part in the tour for the new book, I jumped at the chance.  I was given a copy of the book to review, all opinions are still my own.

I love to read, but not all books are good for a mostly single sitting read session.  I have to say I was easily kept in the book to finish it in two days.  Given that I was cleaning and preparing for Thanksgiving dinner at the time, that's not too shabby.  I could easily have taken a day and finished it then.   This go around is an interesting turn of events.  It pulls highly from the last book, so I recommend reading them in series first.  I don't want to give away spoilers, so I can't expound too much.  I will say it's a series of events that Cherabino faces on her own in Atlanta with Adam elsewhere in Savannah.  Adam learns more of his own strength and determination and faces down his addiction in a big way.  It will be interesting to find out what the consequences become in the next book in the series.

YOUR CLUE FOR THE HUNT:
