On our way out of Yellowstone, we stopped by the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. We were greeted by a painted buffalo near the entrance to the center.
The center itself is relatively small, but a great stop if you have the time and interest. My daughter was in to the wolves. Especially when one sat up and just watched us back.
We did check out the garbage can "grave yard" the center has. They test how effective cans are at keeping out bears in the wild by putting them in with the grizzlies.
We also sat and watched a pair of them check out the exhibit after the keepers had put out enticements for them. We weren't lucky enough to see one of the bears that doesn't care for ravens (they apparently will chase the ravens out of their habitat), but we did enjoy seeing these two.
All told, we spent about 2 hours just checking the whole facility out. There were also some bald eagles on display (my pictures were only fair). They're also doing construction for a new exhibit which will be cool to eventually check out. If you're out that way and have the time, I recommend a stop by.
