At 6:00pm each evening they have a tree lighting. When we visited, one of the special families getting to throw the switch was a military serviceman. Thank you, sir, for serving our country.
I'm not fond of heights, but to get a chance to see some of the decorations from above I went ahead and rode the Sky Buckets.
I also was given the opportunity to check out their holiday show at the Crystal Pistol. A heart warming story of two children who only want their military service father to come home for the holiday and their adventure with Jack Frost, elves, and Santa.
The boys did their own thing and enjoyed the roller coasters for the most part. They did check out the Hall of Justice ride for me (I can't focus on 3D pictures). Other than getting stuck on the ride twice, they thought it was cute. The four boys agreed that it was probably more interesting for the younger crowd. Goliath was their main thing and rode that 3 times during the evening. For my part, though, I checked out the carousel. Just my speed and nothing to make me ill. A little boy with his mom was amazed that I, an adult, would ride one of the horses. He was too cute.
All together a wonderful evening. Six Flags is having a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale -
