They had 15 minutes for prep, 1 hour for cooking, and 15 minutes for plating. Here is my daughter doing her prep work and cooking.
Master Chef Shuler talked with the students at the end. He pointed out the things that stood out for each plate. He also impressed on them that what they're doing puts them ahead of other students their age. They've taken the time to learn something new in a very stressful situation. It's an awesome addition to their resume.
My duaghter's plate. A grilled chicken flatbread, salad with cranberry vinagrette, and sweet potato chips on the side. All made from scratch.
All of the students did wonderfully well. The kitchen smelled awesome and they really showed what they're capable of. Congrats to all of them who tried out.
