Anyone that's ever ridden in my van knows that the sliding doors have had a bad tendency to stick. They're not automatic, so sometimes you have to yank or shove hard to get them to open. Well, Tuesday when my daughter and I went by storage to get the Halloween supplies (so that I'd have something to do while I don't have my car since it's at the body shop getting fixed from being hit a couple weeks ago), she went to open the door to put something in and it broke. The door will still open from the inside, at least.
From what I've read online since, apparently door sticking on my van is nothing new and neither is the handle breaking. The part that breaks is apparently plastic anyway. I don't know what it will cost at the shop to fix it, but it appears to be $100 plus my time for me to give it a go. I don't have the money either way, so for now the door is just broken from the outside.
