Cleaning House

Why is it that in order to clean your house, you must first make it into a disaster? I'm going through dishes, toys and everything else trying to clean up. I took a small load to storage today, but I still have a mound of stuff covering my dining room table. In the effort to eliminate extra from the playroom, I now have an extra desk in my den. Ugh. I can only hope that in the long run I'll actually be able to see a difference in my efforts. For now, watch where you walk, I've probably stacked something in your way to get it out of my way while I do something else.
