Strawberries, YUM!

It's strawberry season again. We're headed out to the strawberry patch today to get our share. I'll wash and freeze most to make smoothies and daquiries out of this summer. The rest I'll be lucky if they last a couple of days. Especially if I get any powdered sugar or meltable chocolate to go with them. mmmmm...

Did you go up to Washington Farms? That's where I took the caterpillars, and ended up with 2 gallons of strawberries!

My Mum made chocolate covered strawberries, I froze some for Hubby and the caterpillars to take camping, and made puree of the rest - which I have eaten every night drizzled over fresh Mayfield Vanilla Ice cream.

I love strawberry patches!

Yes! We went to the farm in Loganville. We ended up with 4 gallons of strawberries, one of which I'll give to a friend of ours. 2 gallons will end up being frozen with the last gallon to be eaten. :)
