Poison Ivy

Why is it, all I have to do is LOOK at poison ivy or poison oak and I get it? I don't have to touch it, it finds me anyway. ARgh. I suspect this go-round I got it from the dogs. I started with a patch on my knee, now it's on one wrist and trying to spread. Save me!
