I took my kids out strawberry picking yesterday. We picked 3 gallons of them. I'm going to freeze some to make smoothies/daquiries over the summer. The rest I'm going to take to school for Teacher Appreciation week next week. I can highly recommend it if your family enjoys strawberries. Fresh and CHEAP! We went to Washington Farms out in Watkinsville. They have a few animals you can pet, a slide area, and LOTS of strawberries. Take a picnic and a hat to block the sun. ;)
Note: You'll want a cooler for the strawberries when you're done and your own buckets/baskets to put them in. The farm will sell you their buckets for an added $1 if you don't have your own. You pick using theirs then transfer to your own.
