Cat Scratch

I thought I'd share something that I had to learn with cats who are not declawed. One of my cats is determined to scratch the door frames in some rooms. I've found that putting a cat scratch post in front of it redirects the scratching to the post instead. It doesn't actually fix the problem (for my own reasons I won't declaw), but it does solve it for me.

That's why i allowed only 1 of the umpteen ( and yes, it's in the teens! ) cats in the house..the others have several scratching posts and a tree to climb about on outside in the confined cattery, while Mr. Tabby thinks it's funny to scratch up my carpet in the house. Bad Kitty..We've resorted to putting coconut husk/jut rugs on the floor for him to scratch, which he is pretty good about, most of the time. Hope yours is doing well!
