Getting Kids to Clean

If your kids are like mine, they'll tell you that cleaning their room (or other section of house) is too much work and will whine their way through it. I've been using the FLY system of cleaning for myself and am actually managing to make headway through it. They recommended "breaking it down" for kids so that it doesn't seem so overwhelming. It works for me, so I gave it a try. We did "Just the floors" of their bedrooms (which, whether they noticed or not is where most of the mess is). I told them not to worry about the rest of it, just get the floors. Amazingly enough, 10 minutes later they had it done. No whining, no fussing. Their bedrooms look much better as well. Now to try it in the playroom and see what happens.
