Teacher Conferences
Are not that painful or even particularly hard. My daughter's conference was cancelled (her teacher decided to quit teaching so her school is working on replacing her). My son's only took about 10 minutes. His teacher showed me what he's doing (he's excelling in math) and we talked about what we need to work on (making my son actually read those books his teacher sends home). He's already above grade level for reading, he just doesn't want to practice the reading to continue to get better. I try to encourage it by letting him read what he wants. He has to start practicing the books that they use in class too. Ah well. I'm not complaining.
