through modern medicine. The last few nights I've ended up being awake for at least an hour while coughing. I tried taking nyquil (which doesn't normally work, but I needed sleep) last night. It wore off after 3 hours. I gave up this morning and called the doctor for an appointment. It's all viral (so far), though she gave me a prescription for amoxicillin if it doesn't clear out by the end of 10 days. That I'll hold onto and fill later if needed. She also gave me a prescription for a cough syrup with codeine. Yea! If this doesn't work I'm just doomed...
