Different Points of View

My pastor's sermon this morning was 'hard or soft'. He referred to hard America (corporate America when it fires someone because the company loses money) or soft America (encouraging kids, making them feel confident, etc). He also talked about hard Christianity (evangalists with only one view of everything) or soft (believing in God first and allowing that some things may be a test and allowing for that, without being judgemental in the process).

For example, a minister scheduled a speaker for his church who is a "big name" and would be a big draw. It turned out later that the speaker was separated from his wife. The minister asked someone about it and said something to the effect that the speaker's wife must be mentally ill. The response was that with the stress this speaker was always under, it was no surprise that the stress would eventually affect his family. Instead of accusing the wife of being ill, perhaps it would be better to pray for the family that the issues could be resolved and the family remain intact, and that if it couldn't, then to pray for them to be able to work their way through their troubles anyway. It all boiled down to what YOU believe and whether or not you force it on someone else, or are you merely missing an opportunity because you couldn't see the other side or weren't listening to what was said.

Different Points of view:
Men are from Sears, Women are from Nordstrom.
Without Men, there would be no pro-lawnmower racing.
Story - A woman is driving down a mountain road. She drives past a man driving a truck and yells "PIG!". He yells back at her "*itch!" and they keep driving. A little bit down the road, the man runs INTO a 500lb pig in the road.
