The Consumer Product Safety Commission (news - web sites) is winning praise from supporters and critics for slapping Graco (NWL) Children's Products with a record $4 million penalty announced Tuesday. .... The CPSC fined Graco for failing to inform it "in a timely manner" about 12 million products, from strollers to toddler beds, that "posed a danger to young children nationwide."
Here are the Graco products recalled:
Century's "Assura" infant car seat, because the handle lock can break.
Five different models of Century strollers, because the locking system fails.
Three models of Graco high chairs, the two piece legs could come apart.
Graco carrier and cradle swing; handles do not lock in place properly.
Three different designs of Graco infant swings, where restraint and tray locks fail.
Also, Graco Travel Lite infant swings because the seats and restraint systems fail.
And finally Graco toddler beds; the side rails and footboards could cause entrapment.
If you have any of these products, call Graco for more information, with serial and model numbers at 1-800-345-4109.
More recalls are expected, so keep in touch with Graco!
