Symphony and Kids
I took my kids to the Atlanta Symphony performance for "Peter and the Wolf". My son was fascinated. My daughter wanted to know where the puppets were. ;) They took the time to explain how to identify the characters, what sort of music went with which character, and how music told the story. They did this for the first 30 minutes, then the second was the actual performance. As I said, my son was fascinated. We had a discussion about music and all the things it can do on the way home. My daughter chattered about the story itself (I think the ducks were her favorite). I highly recommend it to others. It's a great opportunity to expose your kids to stories and to music, they'll have a blast.
