VACATION!

We're off to visit my parents. If I get a chance, I'll post, but I may not. So, in the meantime, have a great start of the summer!

Cool deals..

So, I use coupons, though I'm not always as good at playing 'the game' as some. I did find a couple of great deals this week, though, that I thought I'd share..

Publix: Buy 1 Get 1 sale: Ritz crackers - I had a coupon for buy a box of ritz, get a box of wheat thins. So I bought one box ritz, got a second box of ritz and a box of wheat thins free. Mini Wheats - I had a $1 coupon, so I got two boxes for $1 less than the price of one. Snyders Pretzels, 2 for $4 - I had a $1 coupon, so I got 2 bags for $3. Lysol Wipes - B1G1, I had a $1 off coupon

Kroger: Lloyds BBQ - B1G1, I had a nice coupon Coke - 4 for $10 (with Kroger card)

School's Out!

Time for VACATION! Woo Hoo!

school uniforms?

It appears that Lilburn Elementary may have school uniforms starting next year. A form went out friday to be turned in Monday. If 60% of the school parents vote 'yea', then I'll be shopping for uniforms this summer.

Is it just me...

I prefer for my kids to be invited over to a friend's home instead of calling and inviting themselves..

Vines Gardens Railroad

I did this kind of backward, post wise, but on the way to Strawberry picking Saturday we stopped at Vines Gardens in Loganville to check out their train setup. The group will be out there each Sunday until September from 11-3 running the trains.

Strawberry Picking

We went out with friends Saturday to pick strawberries. Here's a couple of shots I took of my kids picking berries. We were out at Washington Farms in Loganville.

Gwinnett County Library

I found this out through the homeschool e-group, the library has an annual park pass you can check out for a week that will get you into a Georgia State Park. Cool, huh? I know I'll take advantage of that (if I can) this summer.

As an aside, you can register for the summer reading program online now. Summer is not too far away.

Just Because

I've been working this week and not maintaining posts on my blog, I thought I'd go back to hubby's picture stash and find something not posted before. So I did.. my son doing some one-on-one with a teen that's 3rd degree. I'll leave names out of it since one is not mine.

My son decided it was time (and past) for his summer hair cut. Actually, in his case, it's a summer buzz cut. Thought I'd share it.

How cute is this?

I had a friend with her kids over Saturday evening. Her youngest played with the stuff in the play room while the older kids played. My daughter took these shots with my camera.

Frontier Days

We took our kids to Frontier Days at Stone Mountain Park. There were reenactments of Civil War days and displays of items that were found at the time. We toured the Dickey Plantation (always available at Stone Mountain) as well. Here are some of the pictures I took.
